Mar 11, 2010 - Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Kiwanis Club of Washington Georgia, met at noon, Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Farmers State Bank as scheduled, except that the meeting had been delayed one week.

Board members present included

President Sherry Hudson,
Immediate Past President Bes Moore,
Treasurer Lee Benner
2009-2011 Directors Steve Blackmon and Kerry McAvoy
2008-2010 Directors Jim Finch, Ed Geddings, and Trevin Burris

Board members absent included

Vice President Lillie Crowe
Secretary Debra Guin
2009-2011 Directors Carolyn Reynolds and Jama Carper
2008-2010 Director Al Zima

Since eight of the thirteen members were present, the  president concluded that a quorum, a majority, was present.

By a unanimous vote the board approved a motion  to, in effect, begin paying rent from administrative funds to the Woman's Club at the rate of $200.00 a month and to increase members' dues from $45.00 to $50.00 a month, effective April 1, 2010.

ARTICLE XVIII. REVENUE 

Section 1. The membership induction fee and annual dues shall be as determined by the Board of Directors and shall be approved by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the active and senior members present at any regular club meeting, provided written notice shall have been given to the members at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting. Such membership induction fee or annual dues shall remain in effect until changed in accordance with the provisions of this Section.
