Gail Stewart (center) told the Washington Kiwanis Club about her place of work, Adult Day Health Service. The CEO of the company, Ray Hardy (right), was also present at the club's regular Tuesday lunch meeting. Stewart said the aim of the facility is to provide respite for those who need a place for loved ones to have supervised care while the caretaker tends to other necessary business. The facility has a full time nurse on duty and clients are provided two meals and a snack per day as well as a variety of activities. Hardy pointed out that the 85-and-older population is a fast growing age group and by 2010 one in five Americans will be over 65 years of age. Bes Moore (left) was program host.
