Mar 8, 2010 - Interclub Meeting with Thomson Club

Four Kiwanians from Washington accompanied Lieutenant Governor Bob Simmons to Thomson on Monday, March 8, to award Past President Jim Ramsey (above) of the Thomson club its certificate from Kiwanis International recognizing it as a Distinguished Club. Also he awarded "Distinguished" badges to Past President Ramsey and to Secretary Frances Cowart for their distinguished service to the club last year.  Those attending this interclub meeting included, in addition to Bob, Steve Blackmon, George Brooks, Bill Lee, and William Johnson. In addition to the certificate, Bob brought along a large number of banner patches the club earned last year in supporting projects of Kiwanis International.  Four of the six clubs of Division 6, Thomson, Washington, Augusta, and Louisville earned Distinguished Club recognition last year and are being recognized separately.

Past Lieutenant Governor Tommy Phelps (above) brought the program to the club on Georgia Banking Trends.
