Feb 16, 2010 - Tax-free Investing

PROGRAM
After introduction by Jama Carper, the program host for the day, Melvin Crawford of Edward Jones Investing in Elberton  told the members of the Kiwanis Club of Washington today, February 16, 2010, that now is a good time to buy tax-free bonds. Mr. Crawford explained how interest rates affect the several forms  of investments and that a "sweet spot" is occurring now to make tax-free bonds at 4.5 percent a better investment than taxable bonds at 5.6 percent.
